Leshego Logistics Pty Ltd is a transport company specialising in the cartage and haulage of airfreight for freight forwarding companies within the Gauteng region of South Africa. Leshego is a BEE structured company in that 35 percent of the shareholding in the company is held by previously disadvantaged individuals in that the black staff and the black, Indian and women managers own these shares and share directly in the companies profits. Insofar as the demographics of the company goes 44 of the 46 staff members are black males, 1 is an Indian male and the other a white female. Leshego has 5 senior managers involved in the operations of the company and 3 of these are black males, 1 is an Indian male and the other a white female. With the assistance of Rohlig Grindrod in providing a 5-year service agreement and the Marlon Young Family Trust in putting up securities to cover the loan Leshego was able to raise loan finance and thereby purchase a fleet of over 20 trucks and light delivery vehicles. Fruit Tree Cottage is our holiday accommodation in Stanford in the Western Cape which is midway between Hermanus and Gansbaai on the Overberg Wine Route. It was built in 1896 in the typical Victorian era style, is one of the original farm houses with Oregon pine strips on the floors as well as the ceilings and is a heritage site. While we were staying there we restored the house but kept most of the old world charm whilst incorporating modern conveniences. We decided to market Fruit Tree Cottage as a holiday accommodation guest house cottage in Stanford after we left and listed it on several web sites until recently when we launched a website for Fruit Tree Cottage. This has been a successful undertaking and Fruit Tree Cottage Guest House is let out most weekends and holidays.
